TOP 5 ALBUMS OF THE YEAR

5. The Academy Is...- SANTI

2005 started my love for this band. The past two years have brought nothing but good memories. This album was a definate change from Almost Here but it showed growth and maturity.

Favorite Tracks: Bulls In Brooklyn, Sleeping With Giants (Lifetime), We've Got A Big Mess On Her Hands

4. Paramore- RIOT!

To think that the average age of each member in Paramore is equal to my current age always seems to blow my mind. They've accomplished so much at such a short period of time. It's great to see that their hard work and dedication allowed them to produce such an amazing album. I'm sure this is only the surface of their success.

Favorite Tracks: Misery Business, That's What You Get, Fences

3. Promise of Redemption- When The Flowers Bloom...

This was a wonderful gift to end 2007. I first fell in love with Shane's voice with Valencia's This Could Be A Possibilitybut he exceeded all my expectations. This album is touching, and makes the loss of a loved one a little easier to bear.

Favorite Tracks: How Fast, When The Flowers Bloom, It Just Takes Time

2. All Time Low- So Wrong, It's Right

This is the perfect pop punk record, and something to be remembered.

Favorite Tracks: This Is How We Do, Shameless, Stay Awake (Dreams Only Last For A Night)

1. Say Anything- In Defense of the Genre

I can't express how much this album changed my view of Say Anything. It showed how to not take myself so seriously. It's honest, and in your face. It was just want our "scene" needed.

Favorite Tracks: The Church Channel, Baby Girl I'm A Blur, We Killed It, Plea

TOP 5 ALBUMS OF THE WEEK

November 26-  December 2

5. Four Year Strong- Rise Or Die Trying

They might have slid down a few spots, but this album now has it's own playlist on my ipod.

4. The Starting Line- Direction

This band was making music back when I was still singing along to "Backstreets Back." Thankfully, they saved me from my boy band craze during my freshman year of high school upon hearing "Best of Me" off their first full-length Say It Like You Mean It. Two albums later and I'm still loyal.

3. Envy On The Coast- Lucy Gray

Any band that reminds me of how much I wish I was older than 10 when GlassJAw started, gets an A+ in my book. Enough Said.

2. Bedlight for BlueEyes- Life On Life's Terms

I have yet to see them live, but I really love this album. I get a Winger vibe whenever I listen to it. So, if you like your punk rock mixed with some 1980's metal then definately take the time to check them out.

1. Valencia- This Could Be A Possibility

In the summer I set a personal record by attending 5 of their shows in the course of 2 weeks. This past weekend I saw them open for Boys Like Girls in both Atlantic City and Philadelphia (their hometown). Not only do they have a solid live performance, they have to be some of the nicest guys I've ever met. Their new album is suppose to be out after the new year. I'm trying to prepare myself, because I know soon after I'll have to share them with the entire world.

First Ever TOP 5 ALBUMS OF THE WEEK

I decided that since I continue to get friend requests I might as well use this account as a chance to promote bands I am currently obsessed with.

UTOHITSDANIELLE'S TOP 5 ALBUMS

Week of November 19 to  November 25

5. Armor for Sleep- Smile For Them

They've toured the country with major recording artists such as Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, and most recently The Academy Is. This is their lastest release, and it doesn't disappoint.

4. Cobra Starship- Viva La Cobra

I have to admit that this album got my overweight emo ass off of my futon, and dancing around the apartment I share with my parents.

3. Brighten- King vs. Queen

A myspace band the quickly won my heart with their infectious melodies, and lyrical style.

2. Monty Are I- Wall Of People

These guys have an insane live performance. I saw them open for theAUDITION this past summer, and I kicked myself for not discovering them sooner.

1. Four Year Strong- Rise or Die Trying

They will definately be the next big thing in the scene. Give it time, and you'll be singing along with me. For those of you who live in the Philadelphia area, FYS will be playing the Holiday Show at the Trocadero with Valencia and Armor for Sleep on December 27th.

Check back next week for a whole new list.
